Gen Padova started her career in the adult industry while still living at her parent's house and posting nude pictures of herself online. | What was your first job?
My first job was a sales associate at Sears. I worked there for a couple of years in the Men’s Department. Which I still think to this day was the best department to be in because the fun people worked in and near that department. Those people helped me pull out of that ridiculous shy side I struggled with for so long. And I met my first crush/boyfriend/love there. There are tons of wonderful memories of innocent flirtation and sexual rushes that ran through my veins on a torturous regular basis there. I actually wrote a two-part BLOGisode about it all on my website.
How and when did you get into the adult industry?
In 1999 I was already building a fan base on my Yahoo! Group by posting albums of photos regularly. I instantly evolved into a naughty internet girl. By 2000 I started doing some more amateur and professional adult modeling mainly for the internet after having met a local professional photographer through the internet. I was still a virgin at the time. He suggested getting into movies because looking young for my age was all the rage. I did a few masturbation scenes and then three months after finally losing my virginity to that first boyfriend of mine I met at Sears, I went straight into doing movies. The best part of it all is that it all just HAPPENED. The opportunities always came at the right moment with no planning at all. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d get into any form of porno much less last this long.
How do your friends and family feel about your decision to be an adult model?
Throughout all these years I haven’t once had a negative response from it. My family is accepting of my decisions. I was raised to make my own choices and learn from them. Of course I was guided by them with what consequences may come with certain decisions but I was never forbidden from anything. I’ve always felt because of that is why I was a respectful kid growing up and was fairly close with my parents/family. My few close friends were surprised because I was always so shy and self-conscious. Now that they’ve seen I’ve broken out of that horrible contraption, they see my happiness and therefore seem happy for me. I can easily say I’m lucky but it’s really not about luck. It’s about how you compose yourself and how you carry out your choices in life. I’ve proven myself and by that shown others that I can do what I want and remain happily grounded.
Is there anybody special in your life? Or are you looking for somebody at the moment? If so, what do you look for?
I’ve been married for a couple years now. For me, the best things have always happened when I’m least expecting it. I have always felt that when I deliberately try to do something or searching for someone, it never pans out for me. Riding the wave of life seems to work best in my favor. I say this because my Husband and I knew each other and talked off and on throughout the years, mainly on the internet. But it was always in passing. Every so often I would stop and find myself staring off into nowhere and having a feeling of being hypnotized so-to-speak but I could never put my finger on it. It wasn’t until years later did it click. That’s just life’s way of telling me that maybe then it wouldn’t have been the right time and no better time than now.
The most important qualities in a man have always been someone that can handle and be in sync with my silly sense of humor. A person that isn’t afraid to intellectualize. Someone with good hygiene and is motivated in life. And surely a person that can be my best friend and isn’t afraid to be honest with me even if I don’t want to hear it. Someone I can always learn from even though it’s not always easy. It’s hard to find someone that has all of that… it makes me chuckle when I think that it was always in front of me. But for the longest time I would have never thought it would go past the friendship/acquaintance level.
If you had not joined the adult industry, what do you think you would be doing now?
Working in this industry didn’t stop me from going to school. I don’t think the direction of my education would have changed. But I’d probably be practicing Naturopathy full-time.
Do you get recognized in real life? Any funny stories?
Every so often I do and they make it obvious. For the most part people are shy which means I’ll get stares or finger pointing. Most of the time I’ll get e-mails from them saying, “Were you at so-and-so?” But the funniest moment I guess was when I was out dancing with a few friends celebrating a birthday. Some guy came up behind me and said, “I know who you areeeeee! But you don’t know me!” Not really knowing how to respond to that I said, “Oh yeah? What if I said I DO know you?!” and he said, “WHAT?! That’s weird!” I started laughing because I gave him a dose of his own medicine. He stopped dancing and started saying really loud while pointing, “I fucking love you Gen! You’re funny!” and from there he went to his guy friends saying that it actually was me. Needless to say we all danced for a little longer and went our separate ways.
Do you prefer video or photo shoots?
I don’t think I can really compare the two. They’re both entirely different from one another. Of course I love all the sexual action involved in videos but photo shoots are a different kind of exciting in the sense that I can present myself by poses, expressions, props, outfits, etc. It makes for more anticipation.
Where is the most exotic location you have shot at?
My favorite was through the very narrow cobble stone roads in between old connected buildings in Chania, Crete. The characteristics of history combined with the brilliance of colors and also the color of the natural stone around is just gorgeous. Yet smelling food being cooked in the distance is torture.
What are your favorite and least favorite parts of your body?
My favorite are: feet and my butt
My least favorite is under my eyes. I have naturally dark circles under my eyes. My Father’s side of the family cursed me with this. Great consistent sleep and healthy diet can only do so much but it’s always there.
Who is your favorite adult star (past or present)?
It’s impossible for me to have a favorite. There’s so many that I like for various different reasons. But I had the most fun on set with Bianca Pureheart when she was around. We shot a lot together and always had a goofy blast.
What is your favorite sex toy?
It’s all about keeping it simple. Maybe because I’m super sensitive. I love the typical hard plastic vibrators the best!
Do you exercise on a regular basis? What kind?
I’m active daily. It’s not always the same every day. There are days that I don’t necessarily exercise but I’m on my feet all day long moving around. Otherwise I combine my days with walking, running up and down the stairs. I purpose park far away wherever I go to walk more. I’ll jog and/or run. Yoga, mat Pilates and stretching at home. Love hiking. Jump roping. Dancing. I’m all over the place. I don’t believe in doing the same thing exactly the same more than a few times. What’s more important to me is doing things that my body isn’t used to.
Where did you go on your last vacation (not work related)?
I just got back from Mexico yesterday for a week with my half-sister. Celebrating her quarter century birthday. We had a blast and some much needed relaxation!
Do you have any pets?
We rescued two kittens about a year ago from a shelter, Tonka (Cat-Dog) a long haired orange tabby and Lil Girl a stunning short haired calico.
Back in May we rescued a Chocolate Torti Siamese, Seren (Serendipity) from a parking lot. A few weeks into having her we realized she was pregnant. A few weeks after that she had her babies. One passed away the day after. Another passed away at 5 weeks old from complications he was born with. I struggled my hardest for weeks to get him to make it but he didn’t. He was half the size he should have been. I tried. So now there’s Pensive, she was born normal and healthy. She’s her mommy’s favorite, they’re inseparable. I just found a wonderful home for them after much time spent on finding the right family for them.
Right now I have the last two kittens of the litter. They were born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia. Panther can walk but wobbles and functions fine. But my little Traveler was born unable to ever walk. The cerebellum part of his brain didn’t fully develop in the womb which affects his ability to keep his balance. He’s the happiest kitten I’ve ever seen or had. He has his way of getting around and is very determined. I’ve spent a lot of time doing research on this condition and have found a new passion in life. It’s also allowed me to validate that I do have maternal instincts I’ve questioned whether I have or not.

Do you have a guilty pleasure TV show? Song?
I don’t watch TV at all. Once in a while I’ll chime in on some things on Food Network, Travel Channel or History Channel but nothing that really stands out or regularly.
What is your dream car?
I love cars… but I’m a practical person. And as realistic as I can be. I’m driving my third Toyota Camry in 15 years. This time I got the sports edition and it’s pretty impressive for an economy vehicle. I love it. It’s always been good to me. My hubby and I got a Challenger SRT8 in December, it’s been a hell of a blast!!! We are contemplating on getting the factory supercharger installed… it will make it that much more DREAMY. I can only imagine. We’ll see!
What is your favorite alcoholic beverage?
Champagne: Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin Brut
Red Wine: Kathryn Hall Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
Beer: Vanilla Porter (I love Porters or Stouts for the most part)
Liquor: Grey Goose Vodka on the rocks with two limes
What are your favorite brands of jeans? Shoes?
Hahaha jeans that fit is the most important. It’s not easy when you’re 4’11 with a small waist and curvy hips. The expensive brands seem to never fit me the way I like which is fine because I’d rather travel the world than waste it on something that’s going to eventually fall apart and end up in the trash.
Do you have a hobby that would surprise most people?
Would scrapbooking by being creative with cut-outs and things I’ve saved from trips without buying a lot of the scrapbooking decorations weird? I’ve done some incredible stuff that way.
Do you have any special talents?
I’m ambidextrous. It has its advantages at times but I get confused easily too.
What's your ordinary day like? A day in the life of Gen Padova...
I’m a regular early riser. I get up, make the bed, shit, shower and shave, brush my teeth, greet the kitties with some play time, help Traveler go potty, clean the litter boxes, eat some breakfast, start any laundry that needs to be done, clean anything in the kitchen that needs it. Feed the kitties at times because they get good soft food every few days. If I have errands to do I’ll get it all done first before anything else. I spend the rest of the day working and in between take breaks by either finishing the laundry, cook, work more, clean something else if needed. I’m all over the place… each day isn’t always the same. I love it that way. Some days I work on test cooking for the most part for the cook book I’m working on. Some days I’m working on my website all day in some way. Some days I’m tending to my patients. And some days it’s a combination of all things. And in between all that the kitties get play time, hugs, kisses, cuddles and any other spoiling I can give them. I do all this well into the evening.
